Swanbury Penglase in partnership with Greenaway Architects and Mantirri Design, are proud to be collaborating with Purkarninthi Elder Group and University of South Australia to design and deliver this significant project.
We are thrilled to announce an exciting development at UniSA, the Aboriginal Knowledges Centre, a home that brings together the University's commitment to Aboriginal ways of knowing, being and doing. Construction will commence at our City West campus in the second half of 2025. The centre, which in the Kaurna language is Yaitya Ngutu Wardli, will see the redevelopment of the ground floor of UniSA’s Lewis O’Brien/Yarlupurka building and adjacent courtyard. The new centre will include indoor and outdoor spaces that provide a culturally reflective and supportive environment for Aboriginal students, staff and community members. The Centre will facilitate two-way discussions between Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal peoples.
