The 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence (GBV) is an annual international campaign that takes place from November 25, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, to December 10, Human Rights Day. This campaign serves as a critical platform for raising awareness and mobilising action to combat the pervasive issue of gender-based violence, which affects millions globally. The 16 Days of Activism is not just a campaign; it is a movement that seeks to create a world where everyone can live free from violence and discrimination. By participating in this initiative, we contribute to a larger narrative of change that seeks to dismantle systemic inequality and build a future where gender-based violence is a thing of the past. 🏆 Congratulations to the winners of our 2024 Quality Awards!🏆 This year's winners of the People and Culture Award are the District Palliative Care and Interpreter Service for their project to improve integration of interpreters in Palliative Care Setting. Using a multi-stage education program along with clinician reminders, the team has improved pre-briefing process for interpreters in palliative care and cancer settings. The program implemented the best practice of pre-briefing when working interpreters to establish a shared understanding before a consultation, including the context, objectives and cultural considerations. The project has empowered clinicians to collaborate with interpreters to enhance care for patients who require interpreter support.
