Final roof panel installed at Sydney Fish Market 💛 The 200 metre-long floating roof canopy is now complete, marking a pivotal moment in one of Sydney’s most ambitious ever construction projects. Designed by architects 3XN, with Multiplex as the main contractor, the wave-like roof is a masterpiece of engineering: ✅ 594 timber beams, some stretching 32 metres long
✅ 400+ roof panels weighing a staggering 2,500 tonnes
✅ A striking scale-patterned design that pays homage to Sydney’s fishing industry. With structural work now done, the focus shifts to interior finishes — before the grand opening of this world-class seafood and tourism destination!   • SEVEN incredible skyscrapers set to transform Sydney’s skyline by 2030. 💎 TOP LEFT: A 40-storey skyscraper planned for construction at Cockle BayWharf overlooking Pyrmont Bridge. The 63,000 sqm office tower will be at the heart of the $650m revamp of Cockle Bay. BOTTOM LEFT: 338 Pitt Street. Twin 80-storey skyscrapers connected by a skybridge and comprising 592 residences and a hotel. Planning approval has been given for the $726m project. TOP MIDDLE: The Atlassian Tower. Set to be one of the world’s tallest hybrid timber structures. The $1bn development will be built next to Central Station. MIDDLE: Central Place Sydney. Featuring two commercial towers of 36 and 38 stories, that will be the flagship development of the new Tech Central precinct. It will be one of the ‘most sustainable commercial developments in Australia’ when complete. BOTTOM MIDDLE: 55 Pitt Street. A 39-storey build-to-rent tower in the CBD 🌟 Indi Sydney is located directly above the Gadigal Metro Station in the heart of the CBD, just minutes from Hyde Park. From developer Investa and Oxford Properties Group and built by CPB Contractors. Indi Sydney features over 200 one, two and three-bedroom apartments designed and built for renters. ‘Indi Sydney boasts hotel-style amenities ensuring a superior living experience’. Leasing started last month. From next month the tower will become home to over 500 residents.

  • Bourke and Bowden a landmark commercial office precinct in Sydney announces practical completion. 👏 Hickory have announced the practical completion of Bourke and Bowden, a new commercial office precinct. Designed by architects Wardle and Flack Studio and developed in partnership with Time & Place and Qualitas Bourke and Bowden's 8,000sqm site is located 4km south of Sydney’s CBD at 23-27 Bourke Road & 41-43 Bowden Street in Alexandria. Hickory have transformed the 8,089sqm site to create a community hub including a central atrium that opens to a ground-level landscaped courtyard. The building has been built in two halves, connected by shared cores, reducing the impact of a bulky building and modernising the ageing design of office buildings. Bourke and Bowden is the ‘most ambitious and future forward building at the epicentre of Alexandria, a rapidly rejuvenating neighbourhood’.

  • 2 mega tunnel boring machines, Betty and Dorothy, break through at Sydney Olympic Park. 💥 As Sydney Metro construction heads west, two mega tunnel boring machines (TBMs) have arrived at Sydney Olympic Park to complete the first two tunnel entries for the future station. TBMs Betty and Dorothy have now  excavated approximately 857,500 tonnes of material, to complete the first leg in the journey. They have installed more than 32,600 concrete precast segments along the way to line the new tunnel walls.   Sydney Metro West will double rail capacity between Greater Parramatta and the Sydney CBD.   • #SydneyToday. Get ready for a new line and SIX stations opening on Sydney Metro today. 🙌 Sydney Metro’s extension is Australia’s biggest public transportation project. The Chatswood to Sydenham line opens today after the regulator gave the $21 billion project the green light to open. The new metro line is made up of six underground stations including Crows Nest, Victoria Cross, Barangaroo, Martin Place, Pitt Street, Waterloo and new platforms at Central and Sydenham. An estimated 200,000 passengers are expected to travel on the Sydney Metro network today.

  • #SydneyThisWeek. Sydney’s newest waterfront precinct opens! ❤️ From this week, Sydneysiders can enjoy and access Sydney’s newest waterfront precinct ahead of Barangaroo’s first transport link opening in August. The area around Barangaroo Station has been opened. The area includes new footpaths, over 200 new trees and plants, new streetlights and bike parking. New seats around the precinct have been installed, as well as new bus stops close to the station entry and taxi facilities.  Next to the Nawi Cove station entrance, a piece of history can be found with a cast iron inlay of the historic Barangaroo Boat.
