Great turnout at yesterday's "State of Remuneration" event in Perth, where we explored the evolving landscape of executive and employee remuneration in 2024 and trends for next year. Key insights shared: ➡️ Shareholder activism is at an all-time high, with record levels of 'no' votes on remuneration reports. ➡️Short-term incentive outcomes are becoming more predictable while long-term incentives continue to dominate executive packages. ➡️ESG metrics are gaining prominence in both short and long-term incentives. ➡️Employee share ownership is trending upward, driven by companies exploring broader retention and reward strategies. ➡️Board discretion featured prominently in 2024, with 1 in 5 boards of resource companies exercising discretion on incentives.
