Christmas is such a special time of year here at The Beautiful Bunch! 💫 Whilst not all of our staff celebrate Christmas, something we do all get behind is extra paid training and employment opportunities for the young women in our program! We are so thankful for this particularly busy time of year, as our studio is overflowing with lush green wreaths, streams of red velvet ribbon, and fig-scented candles ❤️ We are hoping to have a huge summer season this year, maximising the opportunities we can provide to our trainees. To do this, we have created festive offerings that will bring an abundance of joy and botanical beauty to your home or workplace. Our team would love you to consider giving flowers and gifts that feel good twice this festive season. Please help us make it our busiest one yet! 🌲 💫 https://lnkd.in/gxjKu64a

This week Time Out Group plc published a really thoughtful piece on The Beautiful Bunch and the ways we support young women to enter the Australian workforce. It highlighted the sense of community, hope, and new beginnings that stem from all that we do here, and perhaps, most important of all, the genuine sense of a sisterhood we have created! 💕 We would love for you to share this with your networks, perhaps people who don't yet know about us?! It is a beautiful overview of what we do and why your support is crucial. Big thank you to the phenomenal Odette Barry for helping to make this one happen 💫 https://lnkd.in/gtWVVi2w

World Refugee Day is Thursday the 20th of June! 🌎 Over the last three years, our mission at The Beautiful Bunch has been to provide meaningful training and employment opportunities to women from refugee backgrounds, making this a day very close to our hearts. To honour the young women from refugee backgrounds in our team, and all those fighting for refugee status around the world, we have created a special edition bunch for collection or delivery on 20/06/24. Crafted with a unique mix of both seasonal and native blooms, every bunch sold directly supports our trainees as they overcome some of the most significant barriers to employment, and blossom into talented florists! 💐 To order your World Refugee Day bunch, and learn more about our mission, head to our website 🔗 https://lnkd.in/gjrbbi_j

Two weeks ago, we gathered our team, board, key funders, and supporters of The Beautiful Bunch to celebrate our success to date, and to welcome a new era delivering the program of our dreams! 💕🌸 Our new Bud to Bloom program has three main pillars: floristry fundamentals, digital skills, and financial literacy. From building participants' botanical knowledge to understanding tax and superannuation, this comprehensive course provides our trainees with the skills and experience they need to thrive in the Australian workforce. We are so excited to usher in this new stage of growth for our social enterprise and to offer a genuinely life-changing program for young women who are new arrivals to this country. Feeling very grateful to each of our supporters who have helped us get to this stage and helped us to bring this dream to life! 💕

Mother's (and Other's) Day is just around the corner and it would mean the word to our team if you popped in an order! 💝 This week we are working exceptionally long hours (hello, 2:15am starts!) to source and create the most beautiful, locally-grown flowers for our community to celebrate Mothers and caring people in their lives. Big weeks like these provide much-needed paid training for the young women from refugee backgrounds who participate in our program. It is a phenomenal opportunity not only for our program participants to increase their financial independence, but to also gain experience working with a larger team, in a fast-paced environment! If you would like to give a gift that really does feel good twice, providing vital paid training to young women entering the Australian workforce for the first time, please head to the link below and support our team this weekend 🌸 🌷 🌼 https://lnkd.in/gVYn6pJW

Our beautiful Reem captured on her final working day with us at The Beautiful Bunch this week! ✨ Reem is moving on to study nursing, with plans to become a paramedic, as well as currently working part-time whilst she studies. There is so much we could say about how very special Reem is, but we thought her graduation would be best celebrated, though her own words below. ~~~ Working at The Beautiful Bunch was such an honour and helped me to be surrounded by people who were not just coworkers but more like a family where we chat and have fun together while doing our jobs. I gained so much experience and floristry skills and know how to do the arrangements in a creative way and learned so much about digital skills and how business runs and what happens behind the scenes in a daily florist. I learned so much about photographing skills which is something I am passionate about. I also improved a lot with social skills and came out with more confidence which was a thing I used to struggle with. I had a chance to work with so many talented and passionate people, who I learned a lot from. Working at The Beautiful Bunch as a person who came new to Australia that has English as a second language really gave me a good head start and encouraged me with good energy to start my life in a new place with such a helpful team that they are more like sisters to me 💕

Thinking about Valentine's Day?! If so, please consider purchasing locally-grown blooms this year that will have an impact far beyond the delight it will bring to you/the recipient! 🌸🌷 Big days in the botanical world like Valentine's and Mother's Day are crucial for our floral social enterprise, as success on these days, goes a long way to supporting us to run our paid training program for young women from refugee backgrounds, throughout the year. If you are considering sending beautiful flowers to a loved one or yourself, (even better?! 🤗 ), we have a gorgeous range which you can check out via the link below. Please help us to make it a big one, and to continue to grow our paid training for young women marginalised from the mainstream workforce, so we can support them to thrive! ❤️ https://lnkd.in/gY6MRRyH

Our business and corporate delivery days are some of our favourite at The Beautiful Bunch! Each of our business subscribers receive a weekly delivery of beautiful floral vase arrangements like these ones (we sent these out yesterday), and in exchange, we can provide our trainees with guaranteed, paid training and work on that day. In addition to paid training in our studio (floristry, business administration and financial literacy), some of our trainees personally deliver the arrangements to our business supporters. In some cases, this adds significantly to their weekly wages, improving their financial independence - crucial for much of our team. If you would like to add your workplace to a growing list of Melbourne businesses who are enabling us to provide meaningful, paid opportunities to young women facing barriers to workforce entry, please get in touch! We would love to secure more business supporters this year and Hamdia (pictured right) would be thrilled to add another floral drop off to her list!
