The Social Footprint Index

The Social Footprint Index is a not for profit organisation, established with the purpose of supporting a well-informed and empowered populace. Creating a mobilised movement of informed consumers, social institutions and community groups to support change and work towards a more just and fair civil society. The SFI is a new index of corporate practices that aggregates corporate giving and corporate social responsibility information into a centralized data source. The SFI will provide up to date, comparable, and unbiased information about corporate social investment of organisations and service providers in Australia. The Myfootprint platform will engage with consumers, raise awareness of the Social Footprint Index as a means of consumer decision making. The Myfootprint application will encourage consumer to make impactful procurement/consumption decisions based on said information and facilitate the change of service provision to providers with higher social investment. The Myfootprint platform stands to be the world’s first, Impact procurement platform. A market driven mechanism designed to create and sustain optimal commercial conditions to incentives greater corporate social investment.
