About us

Based in Campbellfield north of Melbourne, Tickford Racing is among the leading teams in the Australian Supercars Championship. With 74 race wins to its credit in 18 seasons, Tickford Racing is the fourth winningest team in Australian touring car history. Back-to-back wins at the Bathurst 1000 (2013 & 2014) are among the team’s greatest achievements, alongside the Supercars drivers’ championship in 2015 and championships in the Super2 development series in 2015 and 2016. The Tickford name stems from the team’s sister company, Tickford, which applies and installs performance and aesthetic enhancements to a variety of Ford road car vehicles, namely the Mustang and Ranger. Tickford Racing prides itself on being not just one of the most successful teams in Australian motorsport, but also the largest and most self-sufficient team in the industry. Supplying four Ford Mustangs at the Supercars level and one Ford Falcon FG X in Super2, the vast majority of the team’s operations are handled in-house, including design, machine, fabrication, composite, sub-assembly, electrical, engine, workshop, sign writing, engineering, commercial, and more.

  • Tickford Racing accelerates its journey into the 2024 Championship with the appointment of new CEO, Simon Brookhouse. Boasting a wealth of experience across all levels of sports, from grassroots to professional leagues, Brookhouse brings a proven track record, having guided the NBL's latest franchise, Tasmania JackJumpers, to a Grand Final series in their inaugural year—an unprecedented feat in Australian sports history. This strategic move aligns seamlessly with Tickford Racing's ambitious pursuit of the 2024 Supercars Driver and Team's Championship titles. Commenting on his new role, Brookhouse expresses his enthusiasm, stating, "I’m very excited about the opportunity to join the highly credentialed Tickford Racing Team; they're synonymous with success." Drawing parallels between his recent achievements, such as steering a new team to success in established competitions, and Tickford Racing's shift to a two-car operation, Brookhouse expresses his commitment to making an impact from the outset, aiming for success as he hits the ground running prior to round 1 of the 2024 Championship. Brookhouse's extensive background in professional sport and his keen understanding of the cultural dynamics necessary for sustained high performance make him a valuable asset for Tickford Racing. Managing Director Rod Nash adds “To find a candidate with Simon’s history is a win for our team. He has a strong understanding of professional sport, is proven as an effective leader that can motivate and deliver clear communication, and has established relationships that have helped grow commercial revenue and ultimately a winning culture. Simon's experience as a commercial orientated CEO will lead the team well in all aspects of our racing and business operating culture in order to continue to succeed”. Brookhouse will land on February 19 as the team gears up for the first test next week at Winton Raceway, before the opening round of the 2024 Championship at Bathurst, February 23-25.
