Mentoring boys and young men to improve their mental wellbeing and build healthy relationships with those around them.
About us
Welcome to Top Blokes Foundation, a pioneering charity dedicated to nurturing the well-being, resilience, and potential of young males across Australia. At the heart of our mission lies a commitment to transform lives through innovative mentoring programs, empowering boys and young men aged 10-24 to navigate the complexities of adolescence and emerge as confident, empathetic leaders of tomorrow. Founded on the principles of positive healthy masculinities, empathy, and community engagement, we've created a dynamic environment where young men can openly discuss vital issues, forge meaningful connections, and develop essential life skills. Our evidence-based approach, coupled with the dedication of our qualified Youth Workers, has made a tangible difference in the lives of thousands, fostering a culture of respect, understanding, and personal growth.

Today we represented young male voices at the NSW Parliamentary Inquiry into loneliness. We spoke passionately about the need for the committee to talk directly with boys and young men to gather your ideas and listen to your experiences. How can we make the online world a better place to be? How we can create deeper and more meaningful connections with ourselves and those around us? We challenged stereotypical views that young men don't want to open up about how they are feeling and we supported calls for more places and spaces for young people to connect and gather. We're pumped to work with the committee and all the young males we work with to help bring about change. . . . . . #mentoringmatters #youthworkinaction #youngmalevoices #topblokesfoundation #endloneliness #socialisolation

Alarming new research: 20% of ASIO’s priority counter-terrorism cases now involve minors. Social isolation and disconnection are breeding grounds for radicalisation, and the statistics are a wake-up call for all of us. At the Top Blokes Foundation, we believe prevention is the key to safeguarding young males against harmful ideologies. Our evidence-based mentoring programs focus on: ✅ Building connection: Trusted relationships with positive male role models. ✅ Critical thinking: Teaching young males to analyse extremist content and make informed decisions. ✅ Community belonging: Encouraging participation in social and community activities. ✅ Mental health support: Addressing emotional and cognitive vulnerabilities. Melissa Abu-Gazaleh, Founder and Managing Director, says: "The increase of young people and minors in counter-terrorism cases is a wake-up call for all of us. We can no longer wait until it's too late. At the Top Blokes Foundation, we see firsthand the power of connection, compassion, and positive role models in helping young males build resilience and find a sense of belonging. Our programs give these young men the tools to make informed decisions, critically analyse harmful content, and create meaningful futures for themselves and their communities." Let’s build resilience, empathy, and belonging in young males and create safer, more inclusive communities. "It’s perfectly fine to feel sad, anxious, or even depressed. Life’s stressful—school, exams, new relationships—it all adds up." But recognising when things aren't quite right is important and noticing some of those changes in your mates and what you can do can make a big difference. In our latest episode of Top Blokes Uncut, Youth Worker Jye shares what it’s really like working with young men to build resilience and break down stigmas around mental health. He chats in the barber chair on recognising different emotions and knowing when and how to reach out for support. #TopBlokesFoundation #MentalHealthMatters #YouthEmpowerment #BreakingStigmas #Resilience #WellBeing #youarenotalone

Yesterday Top Blokes Youth Workers Ryan and Thomas joined with 18 schools across Western Sydney as part of White Ribbon Australia’s walk to end violence against women. “We teach the young men we work alongside about the importance of healthy relationships and being upstanders in their community. It was an honour to walk alongside our young men today who help demonstrate what a Top Bloke truly is.” - Thomas “Top Blokes advocates for healthy relationships so being able to take the white ribbon pledge, with a bunch of young people, shows that we practice what we preach.” - Ryan We love seeing young people speaking up and standing up! Thank you to all the schools and young people who came along. A great day for everyone to show their support and speak out against domestic and family violence. . . . . . . #EndViolenceAgainstWomen #topblokesfoundation #PositiveRoleModels #BeAnUpstander #community #speakout

Top Blokes ambassador Harry Garside sits down with some of our youth council members, Daniel and Salim, to discuss what it really means to be a man today. They chat about topics that challenge the traditional view of masculinity, including vulnerability, balancing masculine and feminine traits, and the pressure of social media. Hear how these young voices share their journeys of self-discovery, highlight the importance of taking care of yourself, and remind us that true strength comes in many forms. Get your hands (or your feet in this case) on a slice of NRL History! Top Blokes Ambassador Kieran Foran is auctioning his 300th game boots, all in the name of mental health. “It’s been a huge journey for me to get to 300 NRL games so I had these boots specially designed for the game against the Dragons. They feature the playing number of all five clubs I’ve played for as well as my name and the occasion, and now they’re going to auction for one lucky fan to have at home – all for a great cause." - Kieran Foran Since becoming a Top Blokes Ambassador earlier this year, Foz has shown his deep commitment to supporting our vision and mission as an organisation. We are very grateful to him and his family for their ongoing support. They have truly become part of the Top Blokes family. Thanks to Gold Coast Titans for all their support.
