A Deep Global Innovation Success! 🌍 We’re thrilled to share the amazing results from the Deep Mining Challenge: 313 participants 99 submissions From 33 countries around the world! The diversity and creativity of the solutions have been inspiring. As Samuel La Macchia, our Challenge Lead, shared: "It has been great to see such a vast variety of capability enter the room for this challenge, spanning from robotics solutions from teams such as Intelligent Robotics, Viridien, and Tubular Network, subsurface mapping technologies from Honeybee Robotics, a Blue Origin Company, TerraFerno Geothermal Solutions, and Atomionics, to material movement alternative concepts from EcoHoist, Quattro Project Engineering, and Weir Minerals... Just to name a few. Having first-hand worked in the challenging environments posed by deep mining, it's been great to see what our global network of innovators from various industries are working on that can address these challenges!" "We recently explored capabilities that can transform deep underground mining activities as part of our latest innovation challenge. This effort has connected us with a record number of innovative groups! Among them, we’ve identified five novel solutions for deep underground mining.
