We’re not only making progress below ground, but above it too!   Construction of the 3.5-kilometre elevated viaducts for the Sydney Metro – Western Sydney Airport project has reached the halfway mark, with more than 550 segments of the 1,101 required segments now installed.   Sitting at 13.5 metres above ground, the viaduct will also be home to Luddenham Station which is the only station on the new 23-kilometre metro line located on this elevated section.   Learn more about the project: https://lnkd.in/gkasZkNy

This week, projects, offices and plant yards across CPB Contractors will come together to look at ways to enhance road safety in our daily operations and recommit to our safety essentials to mark National Road Safety Week. 🟡🚸 Coinciding with National Road Safety Week, Roads Australia has also released Australia’s first Road Worker Safety Industry Guideline. The guideline, which is a response to a number of alarming statistics, including that vehicle collisions cause 41% of Australia’s worker fatalities, is an initiative from the Roads Australia Road Worker Safety Working Group, which includes members of our CPB Contractors team. With each segment weighing as much as a truck 🚚(!!), our project team delivering the Sydney Metro – Western Sydney Airport Surface, Civil and Alignment Works are nearly 1/3 through the construction of the 3.5km of elevated viaduct.
