Supply Chain Case Study Competition From the 5th to the 30th of August, we hosted our first ever Supply Chain Case Study Competition. Our Industry Partners, Droppoint and University of Wollongong Sustainability Team from the Facilities Management Division, provided case studies based on current issues. In teams of up to three, participants prepared and presented innovative solutions to the two case studies. Participants were graded on their understanding of the case studies, analysis and strategic thinking, solution and recommendation, and lastly their presentation and communication skills. Congratulations to all three teams for their remarkable achievements! We extend our heartfelt thanks to all participants for their dedication and hard work. The case studies were challenging, but each team rose to the occasion, delivering exceptional ideas and presentations. A special thank you to our judges - Mitch Woellner, Clayton McDowell, PhD, James Roth, Matthew Pepper, and Erin Snape for taking time out to judge each of the team's presentations.

Supply Chain Sustainability Symposium Yesterday, we held our inaugural Supply Chain Sustainability Symposium. The Supply Chain Symposium – titled “Supply Chain Sustainability: Efforts throughout the Chain” looks to bring together the Supply Chain industry and UOW to share about sustainability initiatives and provide a platform for collaboration and discussion for a greener supply chain in Australia. Professor Dilan Thampapillai, acting Executive Dean for Faculty of Business and Law, welcomed our presentors and student attendees. Associate Professor Matthew Pepper, Discipline Lead for Supply Chain Management, spoke about the growing importance of sustainability in supply chain. The keynote speech was given by Dr Peter Robertson and his speech helped set the tone for the day. A massive thank you to all our presentors for taking time out of your busy schedules and joining us to share your knowledge and experience. We had riveting discussions, the opportunity for attendees to network, and numerous takeaways from all the amazing sharings.
