Our team is excited to announce that Up Property took home the Urban Renewal Award at the UDIA Victoria Awards last week. The award celebrates projects that demonstrate revitalisation and the appropriate use of buildings in established suburbs and inner-city areas. Our pride and joy, Morris Moor, was a perfect candidate—an embodiment of urban regeneration, where the site’s historic origins and innovative spirit were transformed into a modern precinct of commerce, creativity and community. We had a fantastic evening at the ceremony and are thrilled to be recognised for our hard work. Congratulations to the other winners and finalists; together we’re creating places destined to stand the test of time. #UDIAVictoria #UrbanRenewal #Sustainability #UDIAAwards Made For Tract Consultants Kapitol Group ClarkeHopkinsClarke Architects ADP Consulting Pty Ltd Connect Plus Property Solutions PLAYGROUND Genton Klopfer Dobos Pty Ltd

  • Proudly introducing 836 Mountain Hwy, Bayswater, Up Property’s newest acquisition. Measuring 18,700 sqm, this substantial site is a corner lot which is easily accessed from the Eastlink and Monash freeways. The existing 8,500 sqm building is home to the current tenant, Rosebank Engineering. The site has tremendous potential, significantly enhancing our industrial and commercial portfolio. Its strong land value and sought-after location make it a sound long-term investment with ample opportunity for future development.

  • The only program in Victoria dedicated exclusively to sustainability in business, the Kingston Sustainable Business Awards honour local businesses that are leading the charge toward a greener future. Up Property was thrilled to represent Morris Moor at the 2024 Awards in August. Among a long list of innovative and diverse businesses, Soap Aid—an initiative by Morris Moor tenant, Hunter Amenities International Ltd.—were the inspiring winners of the Waste Reduction and Recycling Award. Soap Aid collects and recycles used soap into fresh, hygienic soap bars for distribution into vulnerable communities—a worthy mission that effectively combines humanitarian and environmental efforts. Sustainability is at the heart of these awards, from the businesses we celebrate to the event’s reduced carbon footprint. This ethos aligns seamlessly with Up Property and Morris Moor, reflecting our own commitment to sustainable growth and community-driven progress. Committed to a planet-friendly existence in every way, Up Property was proud to host a table and see Soap Aid recognised for their innovation, ethics and hard work.

  • The Up team recently travelled to Sydney for an inspiring tour of the city’s most innovative projects—and some well-earned downtime together. Our goal was to explore Sydney’s leading mixed-use and adaptive reuse precincts, gathering insights and fresh ideas to bring back to Melbourne. The visit kicked off with a multi-storey industrial tour led by CBRE Director of Industrial South Sydney, Nicholas Zenonos, followed by an exploration of UKO's co-living spaces. As passionate advocates for adaptive reuse, we were especially excited to visit precincts similar to Morris Moor. Highlights included guided tours of the Grounds of Alexandria, Eveleigh Locomotive Workshops, SafetyCulture’s office, and Afterpay's headquarters at The Brewery, Central Park. Sydney’s advanced property landscape left us feeling energised, inspired, and ready to dive back into our projects in Melbourne. • We’re thrilled to announce the completion of Barwon Health Mental Health Hub at 181 Moorabool Street. The Barwon Health team are now proudly occupying the building—creating space for their office staff and for the public to visit. After acquiring the site in 2017, Up Property revitalised the building, turning it into an essential mental health and drug and alcohol services community hub in Geelong’s CBD. The design process was uniquely inclusive, gathering insights from individuals with lived experiences in mental health, ensuring that the space truly meets community needs. This development will serve the community for years to come, reflecting Up’s mission to leave a legacy of positivity and community growth.  Learn More: https://lnkd.in/gBPXrehp #mentalhealth #codesign #communitycare #barwonhealth #propertydevelopment

  • The World Health Organization predicts that by 2050, 70% of the global population will live in cities. And in the face of such rapid urbanisation, mixed-use developments are likely to dominate the market. As an area becomes mixed-use, it begins to hum, serving as a go-to for locals and a destination for visitors. It centralises life, work, shopping and dining, increases walkability, promotes a sustainable lifestyle and over time, becomes a vibrant, self-sufficient community. Places like this are complex to create. They require a long-term vision, considered planning, strong stakeholder management, longer construction time and upfront acquisition costs. A challenge certainly, but one that will yield significant results. Up Property has been on the mixed-use property bandwagon for a while now, using our vision and expertise to create places like Morris Moor. Home to commercial, retail, hospitality and entertainment, the precinct has become a vibrant community that draws in locals and visitors alike, while its sustainable approach sets the standard for similar precincts in the area. Here’s what we know: Mixed-use developments bring communities together, boost the economy and support sustainability. They aren’t going anywhere and Up Property is proud to be paving the way. #mixedusedevelopment #propertydevelopment #upproperty #mixeduse
