Ramadan is more than just fasting—it’s a time of spiritual reflection, self-discipline, and community bonding. Muslims around the world observe this sacred month by abstaining from food and drink from sunrise (Suhoor) to sunset (Iftar), engaging in prayer, and giving to those in need. We wish everyone observing Ramadan a peaceful and blessed month. May this time bring you joy, reflection, and togetherness.

🌈 Last Wednesday, our Sydney office kicked off Mardi Gras with a fantastic in-house event, which provided our office an opportunity to get together and celebrate Urbis' long standing commitment to creating an inclusive environment that fosters respect, acceptance and equality. The evening began with dedicating the event to our beloved Jonathan Bryant. Mardi Gras was his favourite time of year and he always took responsibility in organising our annual event. Our Mardi Gras parties became a cornerstone of our commitment to LGBTQ+ inclusion, bringing together employees from all levels to celebrate diversity and show solidarity with the LGBTQ+ community. Jonathan has had such an impact on all of us with his authenticity, vulnerability and, championing an inclusive culture where everyone could bring their true selves to work. This Mardi Gras was dedicated to him, with a chair decorated with his favourite hat and a fantastic evening filled with fun and flair. This was followed by two fabulous Queens Dior Drop and Bettie Blackheart who served us with stunning drag bingo and entertainment. As Jonathan once said "Each year, Mardi Gras gives us the opportunity to celebrate the LGBTQ+ community, and to find fun, memorable ways to promote our commitment to awareness, diversity and inclusion." We hope you have a fantastic Mardi Gras season and enjoy yourselves. Happy Mardi Gras!

Precincts are key to solving the housing delivery challenge, and Urbis is excited to play a part in this transformation. We're proud to support Property and Development NSW (NSW Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure) in bringing Parramatta North to life—a major government precinct that will deliver education, research, commercial, cultural and residential outcomes over the next 30 years. The state-led rezoning application, now on public exhibition, is the result of a collaboration between PDNSW and our Planning, Urban Design, and Engagement teams, and other experts. This plan aims to transform the 42-hectare precinct, ideally situated on the newly opened light rail service, into one of Greater Parramatta’s most significant urban renewal projects. We encourage you to provide your feedback on the public exhibition https://lnkd.in/gnS_JpQw To learn more about the value Urbis has brought to this project, visit our project summary https://lnkd.in/gXS958ME #Urbis #parramattanorth #connectingwithcountry #community #parramatta #westernsydney #pdnsw #dpie #nswgovernment Murray Donaldson, Travis Lythall, Alicia D., Anthony Kong, Harsha Yadav, Dianne Knott, Aparna Casimir, Aleena Castanos, Caidee Heriot, Suyash Pareek, Jane Maze-Riley, Annabelle Cooper, Les Hems, Alyce Noney, Chen Qu, and Carlos Frias.
