Shelby has been pouring her passion into volunteering at her local community centre, where her artistic talents are making a real difference. She’s been painting intricate woodwork pieces crafted by others, which will soon find homes through the community centre's shop and the wooden toy factory in Victor Harbor. And the magic doesn’t stop there! Shelby’s stunning reindeer artwork has been handpicked for the Christmas art collection—a true testament to her creativity and dedication. Her piece might even be featured in this year’s holiday showcase! With the gentle guidance and encouragement of her dedicated support worker, Shaylee, Shelby is showing us all how far creativity and passion can take us. We’re endlessly proud of Shelby’s achievements and the way she inspires everyone around her. Let’s celebrate Shelby together and look forward to the amazing things she’ll create next! 🖌️✨

🌱The Vana Care team planted a 1,000 Trees 🌳 This year, we set out to make a positive impact both in our community and for the planet. Alongside planting 1,000 trees with our incredible partner Cornerstone Network, here’s what else we’ve achieved with Vana Care this year. 🎒 Supported 10 South Australian kids with everything they need to succeed at school. 🎉 Hosted & participated in community events to bring people together and foster inclusivity. 💰 Organised fundraising initiatives to support those in need.🎅 Next up we have our yearly toy run to support our partner treasure boxes & kids in need this Christmas. We’re proud to give back and grow a brighter future – one action at a time! 🌿💚

 Celebrating Jax’s progress and growth! 💙 Jax is a spirited 12-year-old who was diagnosed with Autism in 2022. Since then, he’s been on an exciting journey of self-discovery, exploring new hobbies and building his confidence in social settings. With the support of his dedicated team, Jax has been embracing new experiences, including fishing—his latest passion. Jax is also working on developing essential life skills, such as meal preparation and cooking, with the guidance of his support workers. His enthusiasm shines through during these learning moments, where he’s building independence and having fun along the way. Jax stays active by playing tennis and basketball with his support staff, proving that teamwork and perseverance can lead to great achievements. His journey is a reminder that with the right support and encouragement, anything is possible. We are so proud to be a part of Jax’s journey and can’t wait to see what he accomplishes next! Meet Timo! “Hi, I’m Timo, and working as a support worker with Vana Care for the past two years has been an absolute joy. Helping those in our community who need it most is not only fulfilling but has also taught me so much about gratitude, empathy, patience, and understanding. Each client has a unique story, and being a positive part of that journey is something truly special.
