🚢 A Milestone in Engineering: Altrad Completes World’s Largest Subsea Mud-Mats‘ 🚢 We’re thrilled to share the successful completion of the world’s largest subsea mud-mats, manufactured by Altrad locally in Western Australia for Aker Solutions’ project supporting Chevron’s Jansz-Io gas compression system. These massive structures, comparable in size to Optus Stadium, were fabricated in segments at our Kwinana yard and assembled at the Australian Marine Complex (AMC) Common User Facility. 💪 🏗️ Project Highlights 🏗️ • Total weight: 1,852,519 kg across 69 frames, meticulously assembled into three mud mats and a wet parking frame. • Largest frame dimensions: 40m x 30m x 9m, weighing in at 585 tons. • Engineering precision: Achieved tolerances within 5mm over 30 meters, far exceeding industry norms. • 20 km of welding: An impressive failure rate of less than 0.35%, compared to the industry standard of 2%. Altrad’s in-depth understanding of AMC and trusted partnerships ensured seamless, safe, and timely project delivery. Our Kwinana Fabrication team set new benchmarks in precision, safety, and efficiency for the industry. A big thank you to our team and partners for making this complex project a reality. #Altrad #EngineeringExcellence #Chevron #AkerSolutions #WesternAustralia #SubseaEngineering #Fabrication #SafetyFirst #Innovation #LocalManufacturing #JanszIo

The team at ECU City are powering along, with the main structure continuing to rise on the skyline and the two sides of the campus recently connected. If you’re in Perth, passersby will notice four pedestrian bridges now linking the Wellington and Roe Street sides over Karak Walk - for those not in Perth, check out this drone footage!   Located on the mezzanine and levels one, two and three, the four bridges took a number of weeks to install and weigh between 7.5 and 68.8 tonnes.   Once complete, they’ll provide staff and students with seamless access between facilities, while the area underneath will be open to the public, enabling pedestrians to walk between the Perth railway station and Queen Street Busport.   Keep it up team…we can’t wait to see what’s next in store at ECU City 👍
