What happens when a shopping centre loses its travelators to its multi-storey car park for almost three months? At Warwick Grove, WA that was the situation as the centre underwent works to install a new travelator, bringing improved reliability and access between levels of the centre and its car parks. Ordinarily, such works may cause significant disruption for customers and retailers but thanks to customer focus and collaboration from the team, what transpired was very different. Reflecting on the centre's response, Centre Manager, Tim Rankin said "this is a staggering result and one we’re all really proud of!" To find out exactly what the team did, visit our newsroom https://lnkd.in/gYAib9ny (We should also acknowledge the great work by Anthony Mason and the team for the successful delivery of the new travelators!) Overcoming barriers to high performance with Olympic medallist Jemima Montag 🎖 Our Gender Balance Employee Advocacy Group (EAG) recently had the privilege of hosting an inspiring session with dual Olympic medallist, Jemima Montag. Speaking about her journey towards excellence and insights on high performance, Jemima inspired team members both in the room and those tuning in across the country. We were also thrilled to learn about her initiative, Play On, and why she is committed to breaking down barriers for girls’ participation in sport and empowering future generations of women. Sometimes it's the smaller upgrades that have the biggest impact. That was the case at Cranbourne Park, Vic, as the team recently revealed new amenities, designed to curate an elevated customer experience to meet the needs of its rapidly growing trade area. With a design befitting of an upmarket hotel, the team utilised terrazzo and marbled styling complemented by modular mirrors with illuminated icons and fully integrated soap and hand dryer systems. The work is part of a broader schedule of upgrades across a number of centres designed to enhance customer experience and deliver property excellence. Colour, food, dancing. It can only be Diwali 🎆 This week, our teams have celebrated Diwali – The Festival of Lights. Driven by our Cultural Diversity Employee Advocacy Group, celebrations encouraged teams to come to work in colourful dress and partake in the sharing of recipes and stories. Arguably the highlight of the week at our national office (and virtually for teams at our centre nationwide) was a Bollywood dance lesson, and a morning tea with mouth-watering Indian snacks. A fantastic week of celebrations underlines our commitment to diversity and understanding the story and culture of all of our teams and communities. Happy Diwali!
