Food Resource Solutions, Zero-Carbon Functional Insect Protein & Fertiliser for Regenerative Farming.

About us

We are Viridian Renewable Technology, Australia's first large scale Insect Protein Manufacturing plant. At Viridian, we recognise the need to radically innovate our food supply chains to help tackle one of the greatest problems facing humanity and the world: sustainable food security. Since our inception in 2016, our team of visionary engineers, scientists, professors and farmers have developed a novel and scalable method of resource recycling with the use of food by-products into highly valuable and palatable insect based products, while providing an economical alternative to landfills. We are leading the world’s transition to sustainable agriculture and waste management solutions by harnessing the natural capabilities of Black Soldier Fly Larvae with innovative and scalable technology, to efficiently convert food by-products into valuable insect-based protein, oil and organic fertiliser to help sustain our growing food production demands. We manufacture high value and carbon-neutral insect-based products for people, pets, plants and animals. We inspire, we collaborate and we are getting it done. Please get in touch to discuss how VRT can help incorporate insect based ingredients into new or existing product ranges.
