The warmer weather is upon us but it’s always hot at Australia’s first oxygen fired furnace in Penrith. After being blown, we quickly cool down our glass beer bottles so they’re ready to be filled with your favourite icy cold beer!

All those new toys and gadgets with batteries under the Christmas tree are fun but they’re a fire hazard in waste and recycling trucks and bins. Energy from waste is a critical part of the circular economy and landfill diversion. Last year alone we generated enough energy to power over 35,000 Melbourne homes through processing materials otherwise destined for landfill using energy from waste at our Coolaroo 100% recycled paper mills. By co-locating the energy from waste facility with our mills, we use both the electricity and steam, and diverted over 67,000 tonnes of waste last year— the equivalent weight of over 11,000 African Elephants—from landfill.

It’s not the festive season without cherries 🍒🍒🍒 With the season in full swing, our team are busy making sure growers across Australia have plenty of premium, eye catching boxes to get their cherries from farms to local and international supermarkets.

We’re recycling glass from homes and businesses across New Zealand and turning it back into bottles and jars for your favourite food and drink brands. By keeping our recycling and remanufacturing local, we’re keeping glass out of landfill and ensuring a secure, local supply chain for Kiwi food and beverage manufacturers.
