  • We're pleased to report further results from the maiden grade control drilling program at our Kiaka Gold Project in Burkina Faso, with results including 5m at 27.2 g/t gold. Maiden grade control drilling of Kiaka Main Pit Stage 1 has now been completed, with mining to start in Q1 2025. Grade control results have continued to deliver thick and consistent zones of mineralisation. Kiaka is tracking to schedule and budget for first gold production in Q3 2025.   • The Carpentry Capacity Building Workshop for the youth of Sanbrado's affected villages concluded successfully with a closing ceremony on 9 December 2024. This one-month initiative, valued at XOF 5.67 million (AUD ~$14,500), was organised and funded by West African Resources as part of its community development program. The workshop provided practical training in carpentry, entrepreneurship and financial management, equipping participants with skills to become financially empowered and independent.

  • On 29 November 2024, over 800 participants from local communities, authorities, and partners gathered in Boudry for the Day of Excellence, celebrating academic achievement, agricultural success, and local innovation. Highlights: 📚 Rewarding Excellence: Outstanding students and teachers were recognized with school kits, dictionaries, bicycles and scholarships for their remarkable efforts. 🌱 Agricultural Achievements: The best school garden yielded an impressive 2,000 kg of beans on 3.5 hectares, earning the top prize of XOF 250,000. 👩🎓 Supporting Students: SOMISA contributed XOF 3,000,000 to support 100 scholarships through the Boudry municipality's Social Service. 👚 Showcasing Local Talent: Women from affected villages exhibited handmade products like woven fabric, moringa powder, soaps, and sewn clothes.

  • This morning our Executive Chairman and CEO Richard Hyde hosted an investor webinar discussing the December 2024 quarterly report. Sanbrado delivered another solid quarter with 51,178 ounces produced at an AISC of US$1,216/oz. 2024 gold production and cost guidance was achieved with full year of production of 206,622 ounces at an AISC of US$1,240/oz – our fourth consecutive year of achieving both cost and production guidance. Construction, operational readiness and grade control drilling at Kiaka continue to progress on-time and on budget, with the project on track for first gold in Q3 this year.
