Make music that matters | Positive music leadership | Singing practitioner-researcher | Psychology of music | SFHEA | Churchill Fellow
🎙️ 1️⃣ 🎉 🥳 Welcome to the first episode of the Leading Notes Podcast! 🎶 The musicians who make a real difference in our communities aren’t household names – they’re the musicians creating meaningful social connections through participatory music-making. Join me as I explore how these remarkable but unsung music leaders revitalise our social health. 🎵 In the first episode, Australian musician Emma Dean reveals how hitting rock bottom led her to trade the professional stage for leading a thriving community choir, discovering unexpected joy and purpose in making music accessible to all. A big thanks to Emma for being my guest and generously sharing her story. Whether you’re a musician seeking meaningful work, a music educator training future musicians, or a health professional interested in music’s social impact, discover practical strategies for creating positive change through music. New episodes will be released each month. Leading Notes - Make music that matters. Episode link: https://lnkd.in/deYUC3mq Subscribe to the podcast here! Imagine a world where no-one is killed or injured on our roads. #ChurchillFellow Craig Hoey believes it is possible. He travelled to Sweden, the Netherlands and Denmark to study how road trauma is being eliminated. These parts of the world have a long and proud history of safety - Volvo invented the three-point seatbelt in the 1950s, and made the patent available to all car makers. 📸 : Sweden's '2 + 1' rural road design, which is extremely safe during crashes compared to single carriageway roads. This type of road helps Sweden be a global leader in road safety. 📸 : 30 kmh speed limits, raised crossing points and pedestrian refuges/islands are common in these locations. (Pic is in Gothenburg, Sweden) #LearnGlobally #InspireLocally To learn more about this project: https://lnkd.in/gPNEsumZ
