🏅 WINNER: Wodens Capital Estate Developments and Spiire 🏆 2024 Master Builders and Asset Construction Hire Excellence Awards - Civil Subdivisions. The joint teams from Wodens, Capital Estate Developments and Spiire must be commended for their outstanding work in civil engineering, landscape architecture, and water engineering services for the growing Denman Prospect community in Canberra, situated in the newly developed Molonglo area. The teams worked closely to deliver the three stages of subdivision of 8 multi-unit blocks and 77 residential blocks. The project is a standout example of exceptional project management and commitment to industry best practices, raising the bar in terms of construction methods and sustainable design. Congratulations to our 2024 Monaro Highway Civil Taster Program graduates! We are incredibly proud of all 15 participants who began the program four weeks ago and have now successfully completed it, earning three units of competency in construction along with all mandatory industry training. This group has been outstanding, and we hope this marks a significant step forward for their future careers. In August, Wodens, in collaboration with our program partners, held two information sessions for the Wodens Monaro Highway Civil Taster Program. This program is a unique workforce participation model for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and/or individuals that have had a connection with the AMC. With over 31 people attending the sessions, we are pleased to announce we have selected the final 15 participants.  Wodens are committed to providing training and employment opportunities on the Monaro Highway Upgrade Project here in the ACT, and are happy to announce the program has now commenced! Special shout out to our amazing stakeholder partners on this program The Umbrella Collective, St Vincent de Paul Society Canberra/Goulburn, Worldview Foundation, Master Builders ACT, Training Fund Authority ACT, and Southern Training Organisation. 🌟 Exciting News! 🌟 Wodens are proud to be partnering with St Vincent de Paul Society Canberra/Goulburn, The Umbrella Collective, Master Builders ACT, Southern Training Organisation, Worldview Foundation, and the Training Fund Authority ACT for the Wodens Monaro Highway Civil Taster Program! 🚧👷♂️   🌐 About the Program: This unique 4-week workforce participation pre-employment model aims to create job opportunities for Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander individuals and those with a connection to the AMC. The program will run three days a week (Tuesday–Thursday) and offer a blend of theory and hands-on learning.
