What are the stories that hold you back? “I’m not good enough” “I’m not smart enough” “I don’t fit in” “People don’t see me” “I don’t do enough” “I don’t know enough” “I don’t belong” “I can’t be a leader” If you have stories like these running around inside your head we want you to know this: You’re not alone. At #womenrising we hear stories like these from women just like you every single day. But we also want you to know this: These stories are holding you back from owning your power. Just a few of my favourite moments from this year... I had the privilege of joining some incredible podcasts (35+), where I shared deep, powerful conversations with amazing women—discussions that I know struck a chord with so many listeners. I was able to be a part of some amazing events, from the Forbes Australia Women's Summit, Microsoft ANZ's IWD event, to Abundium's Women In Multinationals summit. Very specially I even crossed paths with old friends and connected with new ones. At the beginning of the year, my team and I attended Telstra's Best of Business awards where Women Rising was named winner of the Accelerating Women NSW category. More recently, I was invited by Macquarie University to be interviewed as part of their alumni stories series, where we spoke about the highs and lows of my career and how I came to be on the path I am now. This year I began my PhD in Women's Spirituality and Leadership, a journey I am so excited to be on. I also had another sacred and beautiful pilgrimage to India, where much of my time was spent in temples and ashrams deep in practice. Lastly, I cannot forget to mention that I celebrated the launch of my #1 best-selling book with my beautiful team, who worked tirelessly with so much grit and grace to make it all happen. I'm deeply grateful for all of these experiences and all of the people who made them possible.

Do you often hear that little voice in your head critiquing you? Saying things like ‘you’re not good enough/ smart enough/ pretty enough/ together enough’? If you hear it, you’re not alone. In the second episode of the Parenthood Podcast mini-series I'm doing with host Leonie Akhidenor, we chatted through your questions including: 🎙 As a working mum, I feel like I’m never ‘good enough’—at work or at home. How can I stop these negative self-stories – Help! 🎙 I’m a stay-at-home dad, and my inner critic tells me I’m not contributing enough because I’m not bringing in income – Help! 🎙 I’m a mum struggling to move my pregnancy weight and constantly comparing myself to others – Help! And so much more… Listen to the episode here: https://lnkd.in/gP3Fz4SJ PS. Episode 3 of the mini-series will be live later today!

An international study has revealed that Australian schools have the world's worst gender gap in maths and science, among the 58 countries tested.
