As Australia marks national homelessness week, there’s a growing and concerted effort to help women and children experiencing family and domestic violence find a safe place to live. One of the milestones of the Woodards Foundation has been its work on the Safe places project with the Victorian government and the Salvation Army. The project is a pop-up shelter with six portable homes in Melbourne that provide short-term housing for vulnerable women and children. John Piccolo spoke to REA Group on the project and it's impact.
