About us
Connecting Australians who want to help those who need support, World Vision is the thread that brings people together to create meaningful change for children. The world’s largest child-focussed NGO, we run emergency relief, development and advocacy projects in 100 countries. Thanks to the support of more than 200,000 Australians, including 130,000 child sponsors, together we help change the lives of over 11 million adults and children every year. Our employees at World Vision Australia have made a deliberate choice in working with us. From our head office in Melbourne to being on the ground with communities, we are united by a common purpose – to create a better and fairer world for children living in poverty, fleeing conflict and facing the impacts of hunger and disaster.

When you were young, who was that one person who believed in you? It makes such a difference when someone has our back and helps us to be our best. You can be that person for a child like Visal, from Cambodia. He wants to become a policeman and protect people from harm. Thanks to support from people like you, he can get a good education and work towards his goals. This Christmas, your gift of a year of education for 55 school children can really make a difference. Who knows who you could inspire or where they might go in life? Super-sized and super-crunchy Eureka blueberries are back to help children facing poverty. This year, 5 cents from every punnet will go towards World Vision FMNR projects in Uganda to help farmers restore their degraded land. 🌲🫐🌲 #FMNR or Farmer Managed Natural Regeneration is an exciting new farming technique that helps communities affected by climate change regenerate their land. FMNR means more nutritious food for children and a greener future for all of us. #MountainBluePartnership #CorporatePartnerships #WorldVisionAustralia #WorldVision #Reforestation #Regeneration #ClimateChangeAction

Did you discover your life’s passion early in life? Anita certainly did. At just eleven years old, she’s championing new ways of farming that help families in her part of Kenya not to go hungry in the dry season. Anita enjoys studying agriculture and best farming practices at school. In her free time, she's sharing that knowledge and helping her family grow a wider variety of crops and fruits in their kitchen garden. She’s also inspiring other children to do the same, so more families can grow their food and income. Anita believes children can really make a difference and she’s showing others how it’s done. You can also help by choosing the charity gift of fruit trees this Christmas, so families like Anita’s can have food and income. Your gift lights up lives! There are plenty of things that can help us succeed in our work and studies. Here’s one we hardly ever think about – having a reliable source of light! But it’s a daily challenge for children in developing countries. Solar lanterns are a clever way to solve this. Families can light up their homes and children have more hours in the day to focus on their studies. It’s a simple solution that makes all the difference. You can help families have a brighter future. Discover how by visiting https://lnkd.in/gbtbz5h2 for more. #Christmas #Christmas2024 #christmasgifts #EthicalGifts #Solar #SolarLight #Sustainability #WorldVisionAustralia
