We're nurturing #community by supporting projects that save water, one drop at a time. 💧🌱 Our #CommunityGrants program is helping groups like Edible Warburton install rainwater tanks, ensuring a reliable water supply and boosting their growing capacity. The edible garden was created by locals to showcase sustainable ways of building raised garden beds and growing food. Its produce is shared with anyone who visits or works in the garden, with weekly working bees held to keep it in top shape. We want to ensure local parks and community spaces stay green while saving our precious drinking water.🚰 ♻️ A new recycled water main in Croydon marks a significant milestone as one of Australia’s first recycled water offset pilots. The Maroondah community will benefit from the 300m water main, which will deliver high quality recycled water to green spaces, including the Barngeong Reserve sporting oval. It’s expected to save the council approximately 3 million litres of drinking water each year.
