About The Role

We are seeking experienced Accountants to join our growing Business Services teams. This role will see you delivering high quality, value adding work while developing your career in a high performing team.

Responsibilities Include

• Assist in preparing a range of financial statements in accordance with regulatory, accounting, and financial reporting standards across various industries
• Assist in preparing income tax returns for a variety of entities including companies, trusts and high net worth individuals
• Perform various tax planning tasks for clients and preparing advice relating to business operations and regulatory matters
• Providing a range of business and tax advisory services i.e., business structuring, improvement, and growth advisory

BDO’s Business Services division ensure our clients’ success by adding value in every aspect of their business through the provision of world-class advisory and compliance services. Our clients are typically emerging businesses, fast growing corporate groups and high- income/ high-net worth individuals and family groups and range across all industries.

Our team offers a range of services to our clients including growth advisory, strategic planning, business mentoring, due diligence and transaction related services, accounting and advice, financial modelling, applications for business finance, tax planning and structuring, taxation compliance and advice, including GST, and selection and implementation of business information services.

About You

• Experience in a professional services environment and a keen interest in tax and advisory
• Relationship building skills; we work as a wider Business Services team, and you will need to liaise with various levels and teams across BDO as well as providing exceptional service to our clients
• Demonstrated analytical/problem solving ability
• Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to work
• An interest in, or currently completing (or finished) a CA or CPA qualification
• Knowledge and use of Advanced Professional Solutions (APS) and/or Xero is desirable.
