Accounts Payable Officer

The Accounts Payable Officer will be responsible for:

• Performing Accounts Payable functions for trade and sundry creditors (including overseas suppliers), ensuring that only authorised invoices are paid.
• Perform the required checks and upload stock and freight invoices for payment.
• These functions includesourcing invoice approval, coding of invoices,managing due dates to ensureno late payment fees, liaising with suppliers, and managing EFT payment runs.
• Managing Accounts mailboxand corresponding with internal and external stakeholders
• Managing Team ExpenseReimbursement
• Reconciliation of supplieraccounts as required
• Month end duties include:
• Assisting with queries from the wider finance team for responsible countriesand assisting with other territories where required
• Reviewing Aged Creditors listing and providingfeedback on overdueamounts
• Assisting with Auditqueries
• Business process improvement – being a champion for change
• Providing support and cover for Finance Team, as required

The roles skills and requirements:

• Excel – Intermediate level
• Windows and other Microsoft office Products
• Experience in the use of finance systems (preferably Oracle)
• Retail accounting experience desirable
