Here's what you'll be doing:

As our Accounts Payable Officer, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of our finance operations. You'll handle a variety of accounting and administrative tasks to maintain accurate and efficient accounts payable processes.

• Reviewing all invoices for proper documentation and approval before processing.
• Preparing invoices and settlement runs to meet payment deadlines.
• Maintaining thorough and accurate files and documentation, following company policies and accounting standards.
• Reconciling GP supplier accounts for period-end accruals.
• Investigating and resolving discrepancies in vendor statements.
• Setting up new vendors in the system and managing updates to existing vendor details.
• Managing the Accounts Payable email inbox, responding promptly to internal and external queries.
• Supporting cashflow forecasting by tracking future accounts payable expenses.
• Assisting with GST obligations, ensuring compliance with legislation and timely submissions.
• Participating in projects to enhance accounts payable processes.

We're looking for someone with:

• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• A problem-solving mindset and basic accounting knowledge.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365, especially Excel, Outlook, and Word.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer service focus.
• Previous experience in accounts payable, especially in a large, multi-site organisation (desirable but not essential).
• Relevant qualifications (TAFE or tertiary) and/or experience with Workday ERP (desirable but not essential).
