COG Aggregation, Australia’s largest asset finance aggregator group, is looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to join our growing national team in Victoria. With over 20 years’ of specialised experience in asset finance, a 50+ lender panel, and a team of skilled people behind us, we have everything you need to thrive and grow.


COG Aggregation is also part of the ASX-listed COG Financial Services Ltd group (ASX: COG). COG Aggregation brokers settled almost $9 Billion in asset finance loans last financial year - we are leaders and innovators in the asset finance space.



About the Role

In this role, you will develop a rapport with brokers, and provide support and new solutions, that will continually improve the relationship. Your thorough knowledge of the asset finance industry is important to finding solutions/services that set COG Aggregation apart from our competitors.


When you aren't on the road visiting brokers, this hybrid role offers access to our brand-new office in Hawthorn, complete with a free, reserved parking bay. You'll be joining a fast-paced, customer-focused company with exciting strategic growth plans on the horizon.


  • Identify, develop, evaluate, and pursue opportunities to maintain a continuous pipeline of current and prospective deals
  • Strategic and open communication with brokers and key stakeholders
  • Establish territory plans and a CRM strategy that aligns with our growth objectives
  • Deliver presentations highlighting our products, processes and capabilities
  • Support, training and accreditation of new asset finance brokers
  • Commit to business goals/targets, driving results through collaboration and problem-solving with our sales and operations team


You will be supported by an energetic and high-performing broker support team, with ongoing training, encouragement and support from the management team.

 


Key Attributes

We are looking for an energetic self-starter with a “nothing is too much trouble” attitude. You'll be managing your own schedule/visits and driving relationships.


  • Experience in a sales or broker role within the asset finance industry will be highly regarded
  • Understanding of commercial and consumer asset finance
  • Knowledge of credit underwriting practices in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated success in new business sales in a fast-paced environment, consistently achieving targets and deadlines
  • Ability to solve problems quickly
  • Strong negotiation and persuasion skills with the ability to build long-lasting, positive relationships with brokers and customers
  • You have an innate ability to consume and interpret data and insights to drive performance outcomes, which will lead to improved customer satisfaction and engagement

 

Skills and Experience

  • Minimum 3 years experience in the finance or banking industry
  • Experience in a finance sales, BDM or brokering role
  • Previous experience using a finance CRM would be beneficial but not essential
