About the Role:


We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead and oversee the financial operations of our organization. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will manage group financials, accounting, budgeting, and financial reporting, while ensuring that financial operations comply with relevant laws and regulations.


This is a pivotal leadership role, ideal for a forward-thinking professional passionate about guiding the company’s financial strategy, optimizing cost management, and maintaining fiscal discipline across all business units.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Oversee Group Financials: Manage consolidated financial statements and ensure accuracy in financial reporting across all business units.
  • Accounting and Reporting: Supervise the accounting function, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and accurate recording of all transactions.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead the development of annual budgets, financial forecasting, and monitoring performance against budgeted targets.
  • Cost Management: Implement strategies to optimize cost efficiency and minimize unnecessary expenses while supporting business growth.
  • Capital Expenditure (Capex) Planning: Oversee capex decisions, ensuring investments are aligned with the company’s strategic goals and financial objectives.
  • Funding and Financing Strategy: Manage the company’s funding requirements, including securing financing, negotiating terms, and optimizing capital structure.
  • Cash Flow Management: Ensure effective cash flow management, maintaining liquidity for daily operations and optimizing working capital.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with financial regulations, accounting standards, and tax laws, and manage financial risks across the organization.


About You:


To succeed in this role, you will bring:


  • Extensive experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling, and financial reporting to support strategic decision-making.
  • Proven experience in managing capital structures, debt financing, equity transactions, mergers, acquisitions, and investor relations.
  • Deep knowledge of financial management, reporting, budgeting, cash flow management, and financial performance metrics.
  • Expertise in industry-specific accounting, tax laws, and regulatory standards, particularly for organizations in highly regulated sectors such as pharmaceuticals, healthcare, or financial services.
  • Strong leadership skills to lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
