Are you ready to make a meaningful impact in the education sector, leading the financial strategy and operations of one of Melbourne’s most respected independent girls’ schools? As Chief Financial Officer, you will be a dynamic and accomplished individual helping to shape the future of the school.
To be successful in this role you will be comfortable with change, striving for best practice, have a high EQ and be aligned with the values of the school.
Importantly, in this role you will have responsibility for the following:
- Strategic Vision: You’ll bring a broad perspective, with the ability to align our financial planning and investment strategies with the priorities of a not-for-profit (NFP) educational institution.
- Financial Excellence: Your expertise in Capex, asset management, and financial planning will drive sustainable success. You’ll ensure rigorous oversight of budgets, payroll, and investments while embracing a hands-on approach when needed.
- Leadership and Mentorship: As an inspiring leader you will fosters growth, mentor team members, and delegate effectively. You’ll inspire confidence and capability within the finance team.
- Major capital works: With experience managing the financial elements of major building and construction projects, you’ll confidently guide us through our next phase of growth.
- Digital and Technical Savvy: You’ll champion innovation in financial processes, leveraging technology to optimise our operations.
- Risk Management: Your practical application of risk management principles will ensure the stability and safety of our institution.
- Relationship-Building Skills: A trusted advisor and collaborator, you’ll work closely with The Principal, Executive Team, Council, and key stakeholders, both internal and external, to achieve shared goals.
You’ll have the opportunity to work with a dedicated community of educators and professionals, all committed to empowering young women to reach their full potential.
You’ll be stimulated by the opportunity to bring your commercial expertise to a school context, with a focus on clarity, strategic priorities, and creating sustainable growth. A competitive remuneration package will be negotiated with the preferred candidate.
