Are you a Contracts Administrator who has experience in driving operational efficiency by managing contracts and sourcing essential materials and services that support our production processes?

The ideal candidate is expected to engage in a broad range of responsibilities, from strategic supplier negotiations to the intricate management of product specifications in our ERP system, the Contracts Officer will be responsible for the purchasing of raw materials, consumables, and services, ensuring that all procurement activities meet both internal and customer requirements.

Working with various stakeholders in the business to meet goals, some of your duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Source new suppliers, as well as liaise with existing suppliers, negotiate favourable prices and supply conditions
  • Coordinate delivery schedules to meet production timelines within guidelines to maintain a flow of materials and services to ensure timely and efficient production
  • Respond to enquiries and resolve problems concerning contracts, programs, projects, services provided, and persons affected
  • Overseeing work by contractors and reporting on variations to work orders
  • Preparing and reviewing submissions and reports concerning the organisation's activities
  • Collecting and analysing data associated with projects undertaken, and reporting on project outcomes


Requirements

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Diploma or higher qualification in Engineering or similar
  • Good understanding of Inventor/SolidWorks and CAD drawings
  • Sound knowledge of ERP systems
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate with many different departments and levels
  • Experience with negotiating and inventory management
  • Experience with warehouse receiving and stock control processes
  • Prior experience working in a manufacturing operations
  • Fully competent in MS Office applications
  • Experience with managing projects, working with agents and third parties
