Country Road Group - Assistant Accountant - VIC

The role of the Assistant Accountant is to support with the preparation of monthly accounting entries, manage monthly corporate credit card reconciliation, monthly balance sheet reconciliation and work with a continuous improvement mindset to identify and implement process improvement.

Key Accountabilities

• Preparation of month end accounting entries for CRG entities
• Preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations and investigation of variances in a timely manner
• Liaise with the Commercial Finance team to ensure month end postings are complete
• Review accuracy of accruals and assist in the preparation of the monthly P&L
• Assist in the preparation of monthly consolidated reports and board packs
• Understand risk and opportunities on the balance sheet
• Assist external auditors to complete their annual audit process on time
• Assist in the preparation of annual statutory accounts for CRG entities
• Preparation of Wholesale related journals and reconciliations
• Preparation of ABS surveys
• Ad hoc reports/duties as required
  
  

Key Capabilities

• Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Commerce, Business or related
• Experience using Oracle, exposure to Futura/Magenta POS advantageous but not essential
• Stakeholder management, strong communication skills written and verbal
• Exceptional attention to detail and eye for process improvement
• Previous experience in retail or similar industry is highly desirable
• A team player who enjoys collaborating with others
