Role Description

This is a contract hybrid role for a Cyber Security Instructor located in Melbourne, VIC, with flexibility for remote work. The Cyber Security Instructor will be responsible for delivering cybersecurity training, conducting hands-on projects, and providing career coaching sessions. This role involves educating students on application security, network security, information security, and malware analysis.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and practical lessons in Cyber Security (e.g., network security, ethical hacking, SIEM tools, cloud security).
• Mentor students through real-world projects and provide career guidance.
• Stay updated with industry trends to keep curriculum cutting-edge.
• Collaborate with instructional designers to develop high-quality content.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Cyber Security (3+ years in roles such as Security Engineer, Penetration Tester, SOC Analyst).
• Bachelor’s or higher degree in IT, Cyber Security, or a related field.
• Hands-on expertise with tools like Splunk, AWS Security, Firewalls, or IDS/IPS.
• Strong communication and teaching skills (experience with bilingual teaching in Mandarin is a plus!).
• Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or AWS Security Speciality preferred.
• Application Security and Malware Analysis skills
• Cybersecurity and Network Security expertise
• Experience in Information Security
• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles and practices
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field
