Financial Accountant

Financial Accountant - Hybrid Working - Tech company - Immediate Start - Top 4 CA is highly desired

My client is an established tech company based in the heart of Melbourne. They are looking for a qualified accountant to help with the year end process and audits. This is an initial contract with a possible view to extend and make permanent.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the coordination and execution of account reconciliations, budget compilation, and back-up to the accounts payable function
• Maintain the general ledger by processing all company invoices, payments, and purchases
• Review and verify accuracy of financial and contract paperwork and processes
• Assist with the year end audit
• Summarize and prepare financial records and statements for external reporting
• Prepare the company statutory accounts

Qualifications

• Newly Qual Accountant (ideally top 4 practice) with at least one year of industry experience
• Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
• Experience working with offshore teams/shared service centres
• Solid technical accounting knowledge of IFRS
