Your impact and responsibilities:

Daimler Truck Financial Services has a new and exciting opportunity for a motivated and passionate Financial Accounting Analyst. Based at our Head Office in Mulgrave, and in a critical role within Finance and Controlling team, you will be responsible for completing month end tasks, performing procurement, compliance and internal control duties as required. You will be involved in project work by way of supporting with necessary systems’ implementation and/or change. In this role, you will be communicating with internal and external stakeholders based in India, Japan, and Germany.

Reporting into the Taxation and Accounting Manager, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Perform month-end reconciliations and assigned tasks.
  • Prepare and review taxation documents, including GST, FBT, Income Tax, and VAT disallowances.
  • Submit month-end MIF reports and liaise with headquarters.
  • Ensure compliance with IFRS and corporate accounting standards.
  • Support all audit phases: interim, December closing, and year-end.
  • Manage Accounts Payable/Receivable and maintain relationships with the Shared Service Centre.
  • Oversee bank reconciliations.
  • Monitor the accounting email inbox daily.
  • Assist with the procurement process in accordance with internal policies.
  • Coordinate and implement new strategies and team objectives as needed.
  • Participate in projects and system implementations.

Qualifications

What we are looking for:

We are seeking a proactive and adaptable individual with strong communication and problem-solving abilities. The ideal candidate will have a 3 – 5 years experience in accounting (financial services industry preferred), who demonstrates exceptional attention to detail and can perform well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. With a “Can Do” attitude and a natural ability to think quickly, you will also have an interest in digitalization and process automation (RPA). Experience with finance projects, system implementations, and interfaces is highly beneficial.

Teamwork is key, and knowledge of SAP and CMS systems would be advantageous. A Bachelor's degree in Business or Accounting and CPA/CA Qualification are required for this opportunity.

You will need to demonstrate analytical thinking, effective relationship-building, and excellent organizational skills. The ability to prioritize tasks, work flexibly with a team, and manage projects will help drive our collective success. Accuracy, precision, and the capacity to meet tight deadlines are critical to thriving in this role.
