ABOUT THE ROLE

As Financial Controller, you’ll play a pivotal leadership role at the heart of BOUNCE’s financial operations, reporting directly to the CFO. This critical role encompasses strategy, compliance, and leadership, ensuring the business operates efficiently, remains compliant, and is primed for growth.

You’ll oversee key functions like compliance, statutory reporting, and financial forecasting, while providing strategic insights to guide decision-making. Balancing technical expertise with leadership, you’ll lead a talented finance team and collaborate across the business to identify opportunities for improvement and profitability.

Here’s a snapshot of what you’ll take charge of:

• Ensure financial integrity: Oversee month-end processes, reconciliations, and reporting to deliver accurate and reliable results.
• Lead external audits: Coordinate financial, compliance, and tax audits, ensuring alignment with statutory standards.
• Drive strategic finance: Manage budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling and analysis to inform key decisions.
• Optimise cash flow: Oversee long-term cash flow projections, ensuring financial stability and efficiency.
• Champion compliance: Manage BAS, FBT returns, and banking covenants while staying ahead of regulatory requirements.
• Lead and inspire your team: Mentor and empower a high-performing finance team, fostering collaboration and growth.
• Innovate for growth: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and profitability.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

We’re seeking a hands-on leader with a passion for numbers, strategy, and collaboration. You’ll bring:

• Qualifications: CA or CPA certified.
• Experience: 10+ years in commercial finance roles, including leadership experience as a Financial Controller.
• Expertise: Advanced knowledge of accounting principles, audit management, and financial systems (MYOB Acumatica a plus).
• Leadership: Proven ability to mentor and develop teams, fostering a positive and collaborative environment.
• Problem-solving: A system-thinker who thrives on identifying opportunities for improvement and driving change.
