Kotti Capital is the single family office of a first generation Australian entrepreneur. 


We’re seeking someone to support across all of our day-to-day operations to assist the team in executing at speed from our office in Melbourne. The candidate will also have the opportunity to assist in the provision of strategic and operational support for portfolio and platform companies. 


This position is designed for someone with 3+ years of experience in office & operational administration, with a preference for those with an interest in venture capital & the verticals that we fund. Given the multi-faceted nature of Kotti’s activities, the role offers access to a wide range of tasks and learning opportunities, with opportunities to grow into other roles in the future.


About the role:

  • Ownership of the financial and accounting management of The Group’s business units as well as invested companies as needed.
  • Act as Compliance Officer on the Group’s Australian Financial Services License
  • Act as primary liaison between the Group and third-party tax agents and auditors
  • Playing a key role in maintaining the accuracy of financial records, including: 
  • Generating and processing invoices 
  • Matching expenses to purchase orders and preparing for payment
  • Undertaking EOM financial reporting, including Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss reconciliation
  • Preparation of quarterly BAS and draft journals 
  • Drafting Board Resolutions and Keeping Minutes
  • Managing debtors 
  • Managing portfolio overview 
  • Monitor and record in the system the Work-In-Progress (WIP) costing of projects. Ensure these are followed up and capitalised when required.
  • Handle paperwork for all investment opportunities end-to-end. Including, but not limited to:
  • FATCA/CRS Reporting Requirements
  • Beneficial Ownership Reporting
  • KYC/AML Processes
  • Design, develop and refine procedures to ensure workflows are efficient and effective and aid finance in delivering business outcomes.
  • Complete reports, monthly accounts and financial statements for the business and individual business and ensure any anomalies are assigned to be followed up.
  • Apply for any grants that may exist for companies on an ad hoc basis. 
  • Understanding and providing consultation on term sheets for investments
  • Ability to set up trusts, companies and SPV vehicles as needed for investments and NewCo’s. 
  • Stay up to date with the shifting regulatory environment and update management on changes on an as-needs basis.


Skills & Experience 

  • Postgraduate and professional membership in either Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia (CA) or CPA Australia (CPA) qualified accountant
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance
  • 4+ years experience in a similar position
  • Significant attention to detail and high NPS score of working with outside partners/parties. 
  • High-level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Xero and other relevant accounting software.
  • Proven experience in supporting senior management in day to day activities
  • Experienced in the preparation of financial reporting, for both financial and commercial management purposes 
  • Forecasting, cash flow management, tax management and budgeting skills
  • Experience with funds management and maintaining, issuing and recording units. 
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
