Financial Reporting Analyst

Finance Reporting Analyst | Caulfield location (10km SE of CBD and close to public transport) | 3 months with potential to move to permanent | 2-3 days per week in the office | Reporting to Finance Manager

Responsibilities:

• Contribute to strategic planning and financial capability improvement.
• Prepare budgets, forecasts, and management reports for stakeholders.
• Conduct detailed financial analysis to support decision-making.
• Assist in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end processes.
• Generate reports, analyse data, and make strategic recommendations.
• Deliver management accounting services and analysis.
• Organize financial acquittals for funded projects.
• Build relationships with key stakeholders and support daily accounting operations.

Key selection criteria:

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
• Completion and membership of CA/CPA.
• Confident user of Excel - ideally at an Advanced level - and other financial systems.
• Solid knowledge of Australian accounting standards, GST and FBT.
• Ability to critically analyse information and prepare a range reports, including acquittals.
• Being hands-on and able to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Strong communication and relationship management skills.
• Able to commit for a full-time contract commencing early February for a minimum of 3 months. The client is also happy to consider someone transitioning in a permanent position.
