RH ES is pleased to partner in appointing the Group Financial Controller to lead the finance team and work with a highly credentialed commercial CFO.
The Role
Reporting to the CFO, the Group Financial Controller is responsible for the design and operating effectiveness of the end-to-end financial control environment including tax, treasury, accounting, audit, transfer pricing, financial reporting to the Board, as well as compliance with overall government regulations.
The role will have exposure to the leadership team and board members.
The broad ranging responsibilities of the Group Financial Controller’s role are listed below ;
Financial Control
- Manage the balance sheet, consolidated financials, and cash cycle improvement.
- Oversee monthly close, performance benchmarking, statutory compliance and transfer pricing.
- Lead Treasury, Tax, and banking relationships globally (APAC, UK, USA).
- Resolve technical accounting issues and manage system upgrades.
- Prepare accurate financial statements and collaborate with auditors.
- Identify efficiencies and cost-saving opportunities.
Financial Management
- Develop project budgets and ensure accurate forecasting.
- Monitor financial performance, enforce budget protocols, and implement improvements.
- Approve expenses and administrative requests.
Strategic Focus
- Drive continuous improvement in financial operations.
- Enhance team capabilities and promote value-driven activities.
- Support strategic initiatives to achieve business goals.
Operational Excellence
- Oversee payroll, invoicing, collections, and payables across global systems.
- Ensure compliance, accurate financial outcomes, and timely reporting.
- Implement effective policies, mentor the team, and maintain operational efficiency.
People & Culture
- Develop and upskill the finance team to foster accountability and engagement.
- Conduct performance reviews, address issues, and implement succession planning.
- Set clear KPIs to drive accountability and support business growth.
Your Profile
CA/CPA qualified, you will ideally be Big 4/2nd tier audit/ business services trained with more recent experience leading / supporting a finance function of a global enterprise.
You will have strong stakeholder relationship management skills interacting with auditors and other financial advisors and be adept at commercial financial accounting, particularly in month-end consolidations and reporting.
An all rounder’s role, this will suit a finance leader seeking a diverse finance leadership role within a growing global business. Experience in fast-paced finance environments with diverse stakeholders, proven leadership in managing high-performing teams, and proficiency with digital tools, managing large data sets, and strong problem-solving and analytical abilities would be highly advantageous.
