Join the Brandbank Group as a Group Leasing Accountant and take the lead in administering all payments related to lease agreements. This role offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate across teams and ensure seamless financial and administrative operations for our extensive property portfolio.
The Role
Process all lease-related invoices and payments using Microsoft Dynamics and other Brandbank systems.
Conduct rent and outgoings reconciliations to ensure compliance with lease documentation.
Align payments with cash flow obligations and reconcile end-of-month accruals in line with lease terms.
Issue invoices and manage timely landlord payments for agreed fit-out contributions.
Complete monthly leasing balance sheet reconciliations adhering to accounting standards.
Monitor rental invoice email inbox and liaise with landlords for invoice adjustments and payments.
Approve invoices and rental payments, verifying increases for compliance with lease agreements.
Review and reconcile rent and outgoings charges to ensure compliance with lease documentation.
Administer certificates of currency and coordinate property insurance requirements with providers and stakeholders.
Assist landlords with financial document requests for lease renewals and new agreements.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar accounting or leasing-focused role.
A tertiary qualification or equivalent in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is essential.
CPA or CA qualification, or working towards this accreditation (preferred)
Proficiency in financial systems such as Microsoft Dynamics.
Understanding of how to interpret lease and contract requirements
Operating knowledge of Microsoft office Suite: Excel, Word, Outlook
Strong attention to detail with a thorough understanding of lease agreements and financial reconciliations.
Exceptional communication skills for liaising with landlords and internal stakeholders.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
