PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

The head of capital management and Investment will be responsible for the finance activities related to capital management and related reporting, as well as the implement of the investment function in our Business Unit of Europ Assistance Group.


The role is reporting to the Chief Financial Officer and work closely with risk department, technical department, other stakeholder in the finance department as well as the central finance department related to internal capital reporting, the future asset manager and the central investment team related to investment decision and reporting.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


Capital Management:

  • Deliver APRA reporting related to capital, investment, and finance.
  • Provide internal Capital KPIs and capital reporting to EA central management.
  • Manage capital activities related to equity, dividends, cash flow, and balance sheet reporting.
  • Develop and maintain capital management policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and analyze capital adequacy and solvency requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory capital requirements and internal policies.


Investment Implementation:

  • Collaborate closely with EA central to implement the investment policy and establish the asset manager.
  • Support and deliver all activities related to investment, including accounting, forecasting, and management reporting.
  • Conduct investment performance analysis and reporting.
  • Develop and implement investment strategies in line with the company’s objectives.
  • Liaise with external asset managers and investment advisors.
  • Monitor market trends and economic conditions to inform investment decisions.



ROLE REQUIREMENTS


Experience and Education:

  • At least 5 years of relevant work experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree, if not Master’s Degree, especially in finance, business administration (MBA), or a related discipline.
  • Certifications like Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), or other relevant financial certifications


Technical Skills:

  • Strong ability to analyze financial statements, investment portfolios, and capital structures.
  • Expertise in developing and implementing investment strategies and managing investment portfolios.
  • Familiarity with insurance, investment, IFRS17, and APRA reporting.
  • Proficiency in data manipulation: in handling large datasets and using financial software and tools.
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools.


Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills:

  • Ability to identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.


Communication and Interpersonal Skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in project mode with multiple stakeholders.


Adaptability:

  • Ability to adapt to changing regulatory and business environments.
