Our service is month-to-month (think AWS for customer service), with approachable service models for startups, scaleups, and Enterprise clients.


About the role:

This is a global role, with Influx looking to hire a Head of Information Security.


At a high level, we want to;

  • Enhance Influx’s cyber security
  • Increase clients' confidence through Influx information & data security.
  • Create new value through added cybersecurity products and/or services.


Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer (COO), this is a unique opportunity to join a small, but mighty executive and leadership group, with a large, global impact.

  • A hybrid opportunity: This role requires 4 days per week in our office in Cremorne, sharing space with the CEO and other executives based in Melbourne.
  • Global Role: Collaborative culture in servicing international clients, working alongside talented individuals providing high-quality customer experience with your expertise.


What We’re Looking For

  • 8+ years of working experience in the information security industry.
  • 5+ years of executive or management-level experience in systems security in consulting or operations.
  • Strong understanding of IT governance, risk management, and compliance.
  • Exceptional written and verbal skills in English.
  • Able to lead policy development and implementation across the organization.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients & stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong systemizer.
  • Serve as an expert advisor to promote company-wide information security design practices, policies, and control frameworks.
  • Open-mindedness, and the ability and willingness to work with people from various cultures and ways of life.


Bonus Points

  • Additional Cybersecurity certification (e.g., CISSP, GSEC, CCISO) is highly regarded.
  • Experience with governance and compliance frameworks such as ISO27001 and SOC2.
  • Familiarity with data protection laws such as GDPR and HIPAA.
