The Opportunity

Gallagher are looking for a Head of Sales and Commercial to lead and integrate the Norton brand into Gallagher.

In this critical role, you'll lead a team and challenge the status quo - driving positive commercial disruptions and questioning why we do things the way we do.

You'll develop and execute growth strategies for the Gallagher Norton portfolio, identify opportunities to defend and expand market share, and drive product innovation to meet evolving customer needs. Collaborating with the Animal Management Regional Leadership team and key stakeholders, you will ensure sustainable and profitable growth for Gallagher Animal Management.

The Fit

This role is perfect for someone with a passion for livestock, yards, and gates, and a solid commercial background.

You bring extensive experience in driving sales channels within the agricultural sector, with a proven ability to leverage and develop various channels to craft and execute a strategic sales plan.

To succeed in this role, you’ll also need:

  • 10+ years of experience in sales leadership roles within a sales organisation, including ownership for a business or large category
  • Proven experience in integrating new categories or brands into an already established business
  • Strong understanding of the animal handling market, including cattle/sheep farmyards, cattle crushes, sheep drafters, gates, and hardware market dynamics
  • Strong leadership skills, able to inspire and build a cohesive, high-performing team
  • Exceptional analytical and strategic thinking skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Results-oriented mindset with a focus on driving performance and achieving targets
  • Ability to strengthen partnerships with key stakeholders through maintaining a high degree of trust and integrity
  • Forward-thinking, operating one step ahead to anticipate opportunities and challenges
  • A demonstrated approach to new thinking and creativity to bring a fresh perspective to challenges
