Job Title: Head of Sales
Reporting to: Operations Manager, CEO
Directs Reports: Business Development Managers, Enrolment Officers, Sales Representative
Location: Melbourne, Victoria, Australia
Purpose of the position
To continually develop and enhance the SCEI and SCEI-HE brand. Ensure that the business development teams are meeting KPI’s according to the marketing, business and strategic plan with the support of the sales and marketing team.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Overseeing the Sales department and managing the enrolment and business development team
- Working to KPIs and strategic planning and reviews of performance against KPIs
- Developing marketing and sales material with the support of compliance
- Providing comprehensive details to the domestic market, international agents and students related to our courses
- Developing a business plan and sales strategy for the domestic and international market (for example: South America, Eastern Europe, Asia, and Middle East) that ensures attainment of company sales targets
- Responsible for the performance and development of the business development department and the enrolment team
- Preparing and developing sales targets for the domestic and international market and expectations of sales representatives and business development team members
- Assisting in the development and implementation of social media marketing plans as needed
- Managing the CRM and processes related to sales growth
- Providing support and understanding for new and existing sales representatives and business development team members
- Managing performance of sales representatives and business development team members with constructive feedback for improvement
- Providing training to the sales and business development team to equip them with necessary information and knowledge required to comply with the National Code, Standards for RTOs 2015, CRICOS obligations, Higher Education Framework Standards 2021 and other regulatory bodies including TEQSA, Fee Help, Skills First VIC, VET Student Loan, Work Ready SA
- Providing timely feedback to senior management regarding performance and team KPIs
- Producing monthly sales reports
- Creating and conducting new proposal presentations
- Adhering to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensuring that they are communicated and implemented within the team
- Involvement in the recruitment and appointment of new sales and business development team members
- Responsible for enrolment officers and their KPIs.
- Conducting random spot check on enrolment documents to ensure they are collected and completed according to SCEI and SCEI-HE enrolment policy and procedure
Qualifications, Experience, Skills and Attributes Essential
- 3-5 years' experience working in Sales, Marketing and Leadership
- Sales experience, preferably in education, higher education, or a related field.
- Knowledge of International and domestic student market
- Experience in lead generation, customer relationship management (CRM), and closing sales is a plus.
- Creative, Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to build rapport quickly.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
- Excellent phone etiquette and email writing skills.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and time management.
- Tertiary qualification or equivalent experience in sales, marketing, or a related field is preferred.
- Current Police check
- Working With Children Check.

- Enthusiastic about higher education and student success.
- Assertive, self-motivated and goal-oriented with a passion for meeting sales targets.
- Proficiency in using CRM software and Microsoft Office.
- Previous experience working in Sales in adult education/ VET and HE sector
- Management qualification and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
- Exposure to private Higher Education and/or RTO environment
