Laboratory Supplies Officer, with the support of a Lab Assistant, is responsible for all processes associated with ensuring the availability and timely delivery of general laboratory consumables and waste bins, clean glassware and chemicals in order to support the research teams, and in maintaining accurate records in accordance with financial and regulatory requirements. The LSO is expected to ensure safe and compliant receipting of deliveries and notification to stakeholders, maintaining current stock inventory, a clutter free and safe work environmet, management of waste, glassware and laboratory coats.
Further to this the Laboratory Supplies Officer and team will support the Lab Manager in ensuring that all key LMT deliverables are met, by covering for colleagues in other activities and processes within LMT such as supporting team members with the management of access, equipment and chemicals and lab inspections.
Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications
- A relevant tertiary qualification with a willingness to undertake training in operating specialist lifting and moving equipment is required.
- A background in procurement, warehousing, inventory management, safety and compliance will be considered favorably.
- Digital/Technology literacy with experience in Microsoft Suite of applications is a minimum requirement.
