Legal Assistant - Property Law Experience


About Our Client:

Our client is a leading full service law firm specialising in property and real estate law, providing comprehensive legal services to clients across a wide range of sectors. The team are currently seeking a highly skilled Legal Assistant with experience in property law to join their dynamic team.


Position Overview:

As a Legal Assistant in the property law division, you will play a key role in supporting the team with a variety of property-related legal tasks. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with experience in property law to work in a fast-paced environment and contribute to the success of our clients' real estate transactions.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and drafting of property-related legal documents, including leases, contracts, title deeds, and conveyancing documents
  • Conduct property searches and title investigations, ensuring that all due diligence is completed accurately
  • Liaise with clients, agents, and other parties involved in property transactions to coordinate the process
  • Handle the preparation and submission of necessary documents to land registries, government authorities, and other institutions
  • Assist with the negotiation and review of property agreements and contracts
  • Manage the filing and organisation of legal documents related to property transactions
  • Maintain and update client files and ensure all documents are compliant with legal standards
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings, closings, and property inspections
  • Monitor deadlines and ensure that all critical dates and tasks are met


Qualifications:

  • At least 2-5 years of experience as a Legal Assistant with a focus on property law (residential, commercial, or both)
  • Strong understanding of property law, including knowledge of conveyancing processes and property transactions
  • Proficiency with property management software and legal tools (e.g., case management software, document automation tools)
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously
  • Strong attention to detail, ensuring that legal documents are accurate and complete
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with clients, third parties, and team members
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information with discretion
  • Preferred: Knowledge of local property laws and regulations, as well as experience with property transactions in the local jurisdiction
