We are seeking a motivated and results-oriented Payments Account Executive to drive growth and customer satisfaction by managing and expanding relationships with our clients in the payments industry. This role will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and serving as the primary point of contact for clients. The ideal candidate has a strong sales acumen, experience in payment solutions, and a deep understanding of the financial technology landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Development: Identify, prospect, and secure new clients by understanding their needs and positioning Papaya Global's solutions effectively.
  • Sales Growth: Drive revenue by meeting or exceeding ambitious KPIs and growth targets through proactive outreach and client engagement.
  • Client Engagement: Prepare and deliver compelling presentations, product demonstrations, and tailored proposals to prospective and existing clients.
  • Product Expertise: Stay informed about market trends and regulations in payments and fintech to effectively communicate Papaya Global’s value proposition.
  • Event Participation: Represent Papaya Global at events and conferences to promote the company’s offerings and generate new business opportunities.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams—including marketing, product, and customer success—to ensure seamless client onboarding and satisfaction.
  • Strategic Selling: Develop account plans to strategically target and manage client opportunities from prospecting to deal closure.
  • CRM Management: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client communications, and deal pipelines in CRM tools to provide insights and inform performance metrics.
  • Partnership Development: Identify, contact, and build relationships with new partnership candidates to expand Papaya Global's network and drive growth.
  • Strategic Planning: Create and execute business plans with assigned partners to generate leads, secure new clients, and grow Papaya Global's market presence.
  • Market Analysis: Stay ahead of competitors and market changes to anticipate client needs and refine strategic sales efforts.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years experience of sales experience within the payments, fintech, or financial services industry.
  • Experience in workforce payments and cross border payments is a plus
  • Strong sales and negotiation skills with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Familiarity with payment processing technologies, SaaS solutions, and payment gateway systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to present complex payment solutions to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to analyze client needs, market data, and competitor offerings to make data-driven decisions.
