Job Description
- Manage and oversee the procurement of goods and services
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers to ensure cost-effective purchasing
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimise efficiency
- Manage vendor relationships and resolve any issues that arise
- Monitor supply chain processes to ensure timely delivery of goods
- Collaborate with other departments to forecast future needs
- Implement and adhere to procurement policies and procedures
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the procurement and supply chain department
A Successful Procurement Officer Should Have
- A degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field
- Strong negotiation skills
- Experience in procurement and supply chain management
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities
- Knowledge of procurement systems and procedures
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- A competitive salary package including base + super, estimated around AUD 90,000 - AUD 110,000 per annum
