This role presents a fantastic opportunity to make an impact in Deakin’s Infrastructure & Digital division following an exciting period of change within the University. This position is focused on enhancing the customer experience through integrating physical and digital infrastructure, projects, and services to deliver seamless, impactful solutions tailored to customer needs
Reporting to the Senior Director, Portfolio Delivery, as our Program Director you will identify opportunities and drive innovation across our student systems ecosystem, ensuring every component creates seamless student experiences, enables student success and supports our people to continue to deliver excellent customer service. This influential role combines strategic leadership with hands-on program delivery, requiring someone who can inspire teams, co-create solutions and drive meaningful change across the multi-faceted aspects of our student services.
Exceptional stakeholder engagement and management skills are essential, as is the ability to influence decision making. The Program Director will be responsible for presenting findings and recommendations to the executive leadership group and driving the program forward aligned with organisational objectives.
To be successful, you’ll have:
- Extensive experience conceptualising, developing, and implementing contemporary solutions, strategies, and services to achieve a large organisation’s objectives.
- Demonstrated strong understanding of contemporary discipline concepts and strategies and the capacity to adapt and implement these for the benefit of an organisation.
- Experience in agile project management methodologies and tools (JIRA, Microsoft Project).
- Demonstrated experience managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders, competing priorities and tight deadlines.
- Proven ability to work with a significant degree of independence, operating within broad objectives and providing leadership in area of expertise.
- Proven resource and people management skills, including demonstrated ability to build effective high-performance teams and to successfully lead change.
- Proven ability to exercise judgement, influence others, be flexible and adaptive to environmental changes and priorities, and gain support for new plans, programs or initiatives.
- Demonstrated capacity to build and maintain strong and productive relationships with internal and external partners and customers.
- Qualifications and experience commensurate with appointment at level.
